Whether we're visiting firestations, pretending to be Harry Potter or flying above the Kent countryside, we definitely know how to have a good time!

If you're wondering what sort people do this... we're 1st Birchington Air Scout Group, providing Scouting, Fun and Adventure to children from 6 to 18. We're also one of only a few Air Scout groups in Kent, so our Scout and Explorer section has some great opportunities to view life from a different point of view!

If you or your child is already a member of a group, please head to your section page and use your log in to check what activities are coming up. It's really easy to use but please let your leader know if you have any questions.

We have the following sections:

  • Beavers for 6 & 7-year-olds, our youngest section introduces the ideas of Scouting and sleepovers indoors
  • Cubs for 8 to 10.5-year-olds, this section enjoys camping outdoors and beginning to learn Scoutcraft skills
  • Scouts for 10.5 to 14-year-olds, the group runs advanced activities/camps and, as mentioned above, also to get to chance to try air activities
  •   Explorers for 14 to 18 year olds encourages young people to think and plan for themselves whilst taking part in activities such as hiking, camping and D of E.

The group also runs lots of activities for adult volunteers as well. We're always looking for new assistant leaders to help run our busy programme and supporters to help with fundraising and maintenance. If you think you can help please contact us.

Our latest fundraising event was a street collection.

We raised over 500   Well done to everyone that took part.
